    Poland travel

Poland is a mix of old and new. You can visit ancient cities or those painstakingly rebuilt from the rubble of World War II. You might see farmers who still use horse-drawn plows and hand scythes for cutting wheat. Evidence of Poland's past abounds, from beautiful medieval castles to Chopin shrines to the stark structures of Nazi concentration camps.
Poland is also amongst the most unified of eastern European countries—bound by language, devout Catholicism and common history.

    HOLIDAY IDEAS

Every path you take is unexpected - medieval castles, the beautiful Tatras ranges, historic cities, quiet eastern European people. And finally Kraków, a city full of culture, fashion and surprise. It's the perfect end to an amazing walk.

As 16 countries from across Europe prepare to compete for soccer glory, Poland and Ukraine will join together to host the UEFA Euro 2012, one of the most highly anticipated tournaments in the sport. Over 1 million fans from the European continent and around the world attended the tournament in 2008, and it’s expected that the 2012 will attract at least that number again. All eyes will be on Spain – defending champs of Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup – as they try to continue their dominance in the game’s top tournaments.

All games will be split between eight cities – four in Poland and four in Ukraine – with quarter-final and semi-final games being played in Warsaw and Kiev. The final game will take place in Kiev, Ukraine’s capital and largest city. And although these cities in both countries will be dedicated to the tournament, many tourist attractions await. Monuments, museums, castles and cathedrals are all yours to discover as you take in the soccer experience of a lifetime.

You travel across the Alps from Venice and on into the heart of Europe to Paris. Culture and adventure are combined in visits to such architecturally dazzling and historically rich cities as Krakow and Dresden, set against the breathtaking landscapes of Eastern Europe.

This private journey explores the beautifully restored cities of Warsaw and Krakow, both on the UNESCO World Heritage list due to their architecture, history and cultural and political importance.
