Sample itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Rome
A welcome to the ‘Eternal City’ and private transfer to your hotel in
 Rome.

Day 2: Rome (B)
Today you are introduced to the historic, cultural and archaeological attractions of Italy’s capital. Visit the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, the Roman Forum and Colosseum as well as some of the lesser-known sights such as the Pantheon and Castel Sant’Angelo.

Day 3: Rome-Siena-San Gimignano-Florence (B)
Travel by road to Siena and visit one of the finest main squares in Italy, the Piazza del Campo that is surrounded by 13^th and 14^th century palazzi. Visit also the Duomo, Siena’s medieval cathedral containing many valuable pieces of art including works by Bernini and the young Michelangelo. Continue on through the Tuscan hills to San Gimignano and then to Florence.

Day 4: Florence (B)
A walking tour introduces you to the beautiful and romantic Tuscan capital. Start with the Duomo, the city’s famous cathedral with the much-photographed dome by Brunelleschi, and the Uffizi Gallery, one of the finest in the world. If time permits, visit the church of Santa Croce. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure.

Day 5: Plan Your Day Florence (B)
Florence is a romantic city of bridges, cobbled streets, medieval piazzas and churches with much to see. Tailor your own day in Florence. A choice of two activities with a choice from the following options: a visit the Bargello Museum where a fine collection of Renaissance sculptures are housed, including Michelangelo’s Bacchus and Donatello’s bronze David; take a tour of the Brancacci Frescoes at the church of Santa Maria del Carmine; for ice-cream lovers visit one of the most well known gelaterias with your private host to taste and behind the scenes at how the ice-cream is traditionally made. Or perhaps you would like to visit the palace of one of Florence’s ancient noble families where you will be welcomed by the Count, a renowned historian, and have a private tour of his stately home.

Day 6: Florence-Venice (B)
Enjoy private and privileged service as you travel by train north to Venice. A private motor launch takes you to your choice of hotel. The afternoon is at leisure.

Day 7: Venice (B)
A walking tour of Venice takes you to St. Mark's Basilica, with its rich decoration of marble and golden mosaics and the Doge's Palace, filled with artworks by the greatest Venetian artists including Veronese and Tintoretto. The afternoon is at leisure. Later today a special, private, after hours visit to view the illuminated mosaics of St. Mark’s Basilica.

Day 8: Depart Venice (B)
A transfer by private motor launch to Venice airport.
