    A suggested itinerary for this self-drive holiday in France.

    Day 1 Avignon, France
    On arrival, at either Marseilles airport or Avignon TGV station, you will be met, shown to your vehicle and transferred to your hotel in the centre of the historical city of Avignon. Overnight: Hotel La Mirande

    Day 2 Avignon / St Rémy/ Les Baux, France (B, L)
    A half day private sightseeing of Avignon discovering the secret places and narrow streets of in a legendary Citroen 2CV. Your driver-guide will take you into the countryside for a rustic lunch of fresh local specialties and you will visit the medieval chapel and cloisters of the asylum into which Van Gogh voluntarily admitted himself. Overnight: Hotel La Mirande

    Day 3 Avignon/ Lubéron/ Gargas, France (B)
    The Lubéron is a region of rolling hills and verdant nature dotted with churches and rural communities. Your driver-guide will take you to the great 12th century Cistercian Abbey of Sénanque and to the enchanting village of Gordes. This afternoon check into a 4 star hotel set in its own estate. Overnight: Domaine de La Coquillade

    Day 4 Gargas/ Mane, France (B)
    Continue into the lesser-known upper region of Provence, and in Forcalquier you visit an old distillery that makes the signature aperitif of Provence – pastis. Enjoy a tasting before settling into your accommodation, a former convent that has been transformed into a hotel.  Overnight: Le Couvent des Minimes

    Day 5 Mane/ Moustiers Ste Marie/ Gorges du Verdon, France (B)
    Your driver-guide will take you to the L’Occitane factory and continue then to the village of Moustiers Ste Marie wedged in between two rocky bluffs and famous for its “faïence” potteries. Afterwards drive the spectacular road above and along the awesome Gorges of Verdon with breathtaking views of the river cascading thousands of feet below.

    Day 6: Departure (B)
    Drive to Marseilles airport or Avignon TGV station for departure.
