Day 2: Boyne Valley (B, D) Morning drive to Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre that presents one of Europe's great archaeological mysteries, along the Boyne Valley, and Newgrange or Knowth neolithic burial tombs, which predate the pyramids. Return to Dublin for a panoramic tour of the city. Tonight, an Irish dinner and cabaret - the music of the harp and fiddle, flute and bodhran. Day 3: The Garden of Ireland (B, D) Head south to visit Powerscourt Gardensmthrough the Wicklow Mountains. A scenic drive along the sea coast to Avoca Woolen Mills, then on to Glendalough for a guided tour of a 6th century monastic settlement. On to Waterford for a tour of the famous Waterford Crystal factory. Stay at Waterford Castle overnight. Day 4: Kilkenny & Kells (B, D) Tour to the medieval city of Kilkenny, once the capital of Ireland. You visit Kilkenny Castle and have time to explore the town. Travel on to Thomastown and a visit to the 13th C Jerpoint Abbey. Enjoy tea & scones. Stop for a view of the 13th C Kells Priory. Return to Waterford Castle. Day 5: Blarney & Killarney (B, D) Tour to Blarney Castle to climb the battlements of the castle and kiss the famous "stone of eloquence”. Time to visit the Blarney Woollen Mills also. Continue to Killarney for an Irish Jaunting Cart ride through the Killarney National Park. Stay overlooking the Lakes of Killarney at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel. Day 6: Dingle Peninsula (B, D) Tour the Dingle Peninsula, one of Ireland's most picturesque spots. You visit the town of Dingle, then drive around Slea Head. Visit the Blasket Island Centre, Mulcahy's Pottery and 7th C Gallorus Oratory. Return to Killarney via Tralee. Day 7: Clare Coast & Burren (B, D) Travel north to Tarbert across the Shannon River by ferry to the Clare Coast. On to Lahinch, the Cliffs of Moher, Burren, an eerie expanse of land formed during the Ice Age, then to Bunratty Folk Park, a recreated 19th C Irish village. Limerick and then Adare, filled with thatched roof cottages. Overnight at Adare Manor and a final dinner in the Oakroom Restaurant.
