Titlis – Interlaken Depart Zurich to the city of Lucerne to walk over the 14th century wooden bridge. Time at leisure for shopping and sightseeing. A cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis - a ride in the revolving “ROTAIR” gondola. Then cross Brunig Pass to the Bernese Oberland and reach the village of Brienz, Continue to Interlaken at the foot of Jungfrau mountain. Day 2: Interlaken – Bern –Gruyères – Geneva (B) Drive alongside the Lake of Thun to Bern, attractively set on a steep-sided curve of the River Aare and backed by the Alps. Drive south to the dairy farmlands of Gruyères, a preserved hilltop town. An informative visit to a milk products factory. Continue to the Vaud Riviera and Geneva. Day 3: Geneva – Montreux – Zermatt (B, D) First a city tour of Geneva the European seat of the United Nations. In the late morning leave Geneva and drive to Lausanne and Montreux. Pass by Chillon Castle, then proceed through the Valais, the valley of the river Rhone. At Täsch board a train that takes you to the mountain resort of Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn. Day 4: Zermatt – Nufenen Pass – Lugano (B) Morning at leisure in Zermatt – admire the quaint architecture. Take an optional cogwheel train up to Gornergrat for a spectacular view of the surrounding peaks. In the afternoon board the train to Täsch where your bus is waiting to take you over the breathtaking Nufenen Pass into the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, Lugano. Day 5: Lugano – Lake Como – Maloja Pass – St. Moritz (B, D) Drive along the scenic road to Gandria where you cross the border into Italy. Travel along the shores of Lake Como via Menaggio to Chiavenna in the Breggaglia Valley. Re-enter Switzerland at Castasegna and start the ascent along the 13 hairpin bends over the Maloja Pass. Pass by crystal blue Lake Sils and Silvaplana to reach St. Moritz. Day 6: St. Moritz – Vaduz – Zurich B) Leave St. Moritz and cross the Fluela Pass to reach Davos. In the capital of Principality of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, there will be time for lunch and sightseeing. Vaduz is believed to have been founded in the 13th C by the Counts of Werdenberg. Return to Zurich in the afternoon, passing through the Toggenburg region with its picturesque farmhouses. Day 7: Rapperswil – Boatride on Lake Zurich (B) At 10 a.m. your bus will pick you up for a tour of Zurich and its surroundings. Drive along the Höhenstrasse, with its spectacular views into the Alps, before arriving in Rapperswil. Return to Zurich by boat approx. 4 p.m. Dinner at leisure on your own.
