Valley exploration at the Þórsmörk natural reserve. A 2-hour moderate morning hike on mixed terrain, then a 3-hour afternoon hike mostly on dirt paths with a final climb. Day 2: Hekla & the Highlands (B, L D) A 2-hour morning hike through up-and-down, volcanic landscape around the famed Mount Hekla;. After lunch,, a 3-hour hike through lava fields and on rocky paths. Day 3 Rafting, Parliaments & Waterfalls (B, L D) Class 2 whitewater rafting followed by an easygoing 1-hour afternoon walk to the UNESCO Word Heritage Site of Þingvellir. Day 4 Rafting, Parliaments & Waterfalls (B, L D) Walk to Glymur Falls in the morning on a combination of rocky and dirt paths. After luncha 2-hour lake hike in the Bifröst area along lakeshores. Day 5 The Snaefellsnes Peninsula (B, L D) A moderate 3-hour hike along the Snaefellsnes Peninsulaon mixed terrain in the morning; a 2-hour walk easygoing afternoon walk up the Eldborg Crater, or you may opt for horseback riding on the beach. Day 6 The Snaefellsnes Peninsula (B, L D) A 3-to 4-hour hike through lava fields and along the coast in the morning; 3 more hours in the afternoon, with some uphill, on hard-packed snow along the Snaefellsnes glacierwith the help of ropes. (This is not, however, highly technical walking.) Day 7: Depart Reykjavik (B) After breakfast we begin the drive toward Keflavik International Airport. You will take a detour to Reykjavik where you will have a few hours to explore the Nordic House or indulge in some last-minute shopping, along with a chance to enjoy a final lunch on your own in one of the many great cafés in Reykjavik. Then the drive continues to Keflavik International Airport in time for a mid to late afternoon flight. Typically Included: - 7 nights hotel accommodation

Reykjavík has one international airport, Keflavik, which is located approximately 50 km from the centre of town. Taxis from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavík are easily available—the drive takes about 50 minutes and costs about 7500-8000 ISK.
